Some technical requirements for this position are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent in both English/Spanish
  • 2 years of previous customer service experience (healthcare is a plus)
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check in relation to the position applied for.

Day to Day:

  • Taking inbound calls from patients in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Scheduling medical appointments for patients and routing calls to other departments as necessary.
  • Using our electronic medical record system, Nextgen to enter and update all patient demographics in their chart.
  • Provide patients with resources to enroll with Yakima Neighborhood Health Services if not already enrolled.
  • Follow all HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
