Established in 1975, Yakima Neighborhood Health Services is a Community Health Center in Central Washington State serving our communities through holistic and integrated team-based care. Our mission is to improve quality of life and equity in our communities by providing accessible and integrated health and social services, ending homelessness and offering unique learning opportunities for students of health professions. Our teams include specialists in primary care medical, dental, behavioral health, care coordination, pharmacy, health related social needs (including housing) and other basic needs. Our targeted populations include agricultural workers, people experiencing homelessness, LGBTQIA+, and anyone needing extra TLC.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a BS degree in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy, Washington State license, and interest in serving under-served populations.   
  • Candidate must also have the ability to speak clearly and concisely. 
  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction. 
  • Convenient if bilingual English/Spanish, and/or ability to sign

 Day to Day:

Pharmacists at Yakima Neighborhood Health Services are part of an integrated health team providing care to patients in the Yakima Valley. Our pharmacists work closely with medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health personnel to provide therapeutic care.  In addition to traditional med management, our pharmacists’ work directly as part of the health care team to improve patient health. Responsibilities include Patient education and counseling, Collaborative Drug Therapy Management, ordering and monitoring lab tests, prescription quality assurance, and assisting in efficient and creative service delivery.
