    About the Yakima Valley

    Practice where it’s nearly perfect!

All Yakima Neighborhood Health Services clinics are located in the Yakima Valley, the heart of Washington’s agricultural region. Over 75% of U.S. hops are grown in the Yakima Valley, along with wine grapes, apples, cherries, peaches, asparagus, and other farm-to-table fare. Unlike Seattle or Portland two to three hours to the west, the Yakima Valley is in Central Washington, east of the Cascade Mountains, where 300 days of desert sun each year has earned us the nickname “the Palm Springs of Washington.” The valley offers a vibrant backdrop for work and play with four distinct seasons, a vast array of year-round outdoor activities, and incredible landscapes including Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier looming on the horizon. The state’s only blue-ribbon fishery is just minutes from downtown Yakima, as well as a variety of skiing, golfing, hiking, cycling, and other outdoor adventures. Yakima also hosts James Beard-nominated eateries, award-winning wineries and breweries, an active arts community, and vibrant cultural opportunities. With generous time off and the beautiful Yakima Valley at your door, a true work-life balance has never been easier. Discover more about Yakima Neighborhood Health and the Yakima Valley at YNHScareers.org.
