Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our team in the Community Health Center industry. The CFO is responsible for overseeing all financial and revenue cycle operations, financial compliance with outside agencies and ensuring that the financial health of our organization is accurately and timely communicated and reported on. The main objectives will include:
- Participating in and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management
- Clear and timely financial communication to the BOD as directed by the CEO.
- Supervision of the accounting and revenue billing departments
- Communicating and maintaining financial compliance with all grantees
- Leading the annual financial audit of YNHS
- Report directly to the CEO
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in financial management
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, financial reporting, and accounting systems
- Experience in delegation and task management
- Experience in managing internal controls and corporate finance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience in the Federally Qualified Health Care industry
- Experience in financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, communicate and as agreed, implement financial strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure the financial health of the organization.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis to provide accurate and timely financial information to senior management and the BOD.
- Manage the revenue cycle, patient accounting, and physician relations necessary to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
- Manage grant requirements and compliance for the multiple grants received
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and guidance to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Skills:
As the CFO, you will need to have a strong understanding of accounting systems (payroll, AP, purchasing, etc.) and financial statement preparation, revenue cycle, staff management, financial compliance reporting, internal controls, corporate finance, grants management and physician relations. You will use these skills daily to provide strategic financial guidance, oversee financial operations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Your excellent communication and leadership skills will also be essential in managing and leading the finance team and collaborating with other departments to achieve the organization's financial goals.
